COMPUTER ASSISTANT

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
performing computer assistant work by using a wide range of analytical and diagnostic methods, principles, and procedures to identify system failures and take corrective action to resume normal operations. Examples of specialized experience include:
1) Resolving problems which are conventional to data processing and require differing methods and procedures to operate, install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware and software; 2) Evaluating and allocating system resources to satisfy user requirements and implementing design changes; 3) Monitoring ongoing operation of network systems to identify and promptly resolve network-related problems within the organization to ensure that operational standards are met; 4) Providing consultation and instruction in hardware and software testing; and 5) Assisting in implementing systems for word processing, data storage, retrieval and analysis. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
