This position may be converted to a career conditional appointment at the WG-05 level with promotion potential to the WG-10, upon graduation. Incumbent must have and maintain at least a 2.0 overall GPA. The work schedule for this position will be part-time during the school year, when the incumbent is taking classes.
_WHO MAY APPLY:_
This position is restricted to applicants that currently reside within the local commuting area of Pearl Harbor, HI (the area in which people live and can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily for their usual employment) and Veterans' preference eligibles. Taking instruction and direction from higher graded employees.
Assisting High Voltage Electricians and/or High Voltage Electrical Workers with tasks at various job sites.
Using tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, soldering irons, and a variety of test equipment including test lamps, voltage recording meters, and ammeters.
_ELIGIBILITY:_
You are currently accepted for enrollment or are you enrolled in a qualifying educational institution (high school; 4-year college/university; community college; junior college; professional, technical, vocational, or trade school; advanced degree programs; or other qualifying education institutions) on a full or half-time basis and seeking a degree or certificate. (NOTE: You must provide acceptable documentation of your appointment eligibility by providing proof of enrollment in the form of letters, records, or statements issued from a high school, vocational institution, college, or university, with your completed application.)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
