Description :
Seeking a Senior Repairable(s) Field Representative to provide on-site field support and training on the Navy/Marine Corps repairable(s) process. Elements of the repairable(s) process include: packaging, marking and preparation for transportation, ATAC, Retail Care of Supplies In Storage (COSIS) Afloat, eRMS, repairable(s) data, carcass tracking, SIT, Radio Frequency Identification and other subjects as deemed necessary by the Government. Candidate may also be required to visit storage facilities on a periodic basis to ensure engine containers are properly protected/preserved. On-site support and training will be required for both CONUS/OCONUS ashore and afloat activities. Support may be required in combat areas, such as Afghanistan, or throughout the world in conjunction with Joint Naval/Marine Corps expeditionary operations/exercises. This support, deployment and training are technical in nature and apply to all repairable(s) processing performed afloat and ashore, as well as oversight, certification, and packaging of major offloads of RFI DLRs. Deficiencies observed and identified by the candidate in the retrograde process shall be recorded in the TARP IT system based on sampling results and follow-on training to identify activities where training and remediation is required. The candidate will be required to visit commands and complete specific activities such as packaging, marking and preparation for transportation, Carcass Tracking, COSIS, eRMS processing, repairable(s) data, excess A condition offload, comply with TARP representative checklist items (packaging materials, tools, training) and other related subjects. Individual will be responsible for establishing a schedule for providing repairable(s) processing support and training to Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard activities that process DLRs both afloat and ashore and shall provide this schedule to the Government on a quarterly basis for review and approval. Support shall include identification of system-wide or site-specific process deficiencies and the recommendation of corrective actions to be taken. Recommendations for corrective action shall be submitted for review and acceptance.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Examples of activities that will require support and training include the following: Naval ships, Navy and Marine Corps shore stations, Coast Guard ashore and afloat activities, Military Sealift Command (MSC) Combat Logistics Force (CLF) ships, Fleet Readiness Centers, ATAC sites, Mobile Nodes and other Services, e.g. Army, Air Force, for future support. Support may occur on a routine basis or may be event-related such as Operation Tomodachi. Significant events where the candidate may be involved include cross-decking operations, large RFI or NRFI offloads, transition of material from Government bondroom to Navy support, ships going into overhaul, COSIS, decommissioning(s) and Base Realignment and Closure actions.
Required Qualifications:
Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and twelve to fifteen years of related work experience. Masters degree preferred. Must have at least twelve years work experience in PHS&T;, ATAC, carcass tracking, repairable(s) management, customer service operations.
Must have full working understanding of electronic Retrograde Management System (eRMS), web based tools, fleet support, hazardous materials, transportation, and process review support.
Must have military experience at the E7, E8 or E9 level or above in Naval logistics.
Experience in training uniformed personnel.
Must have 5 Five years experience with hardware/software implementation and training, including hands-on experience with eRMS and P700-CNP.
Experience in conducting site surveys and standing up remote operating sites in war zones.
Received passing credit for college courses completed in logistics courses taken through the DOD School of Military Packaging Technology (SMPT) or Defense Ammunition Center (DAC).
Certification as a Military Packaging Professional (MPP), or equivalent military packaging courses required.
Active Secret Clearance Required.
