Description:
SAIC has a contingent opening for a Navy's Afloat Maintenance Training Strategy (NAMTS) Training Specialist in Pearl Harbor, HI.
The NAMTS Training Specialist is responsible for applying subject matter knowledge on Navy maintenance training programs, manpower and personnel, and repair work flow processes in the analysis and implementation of process improvements of the NAMTS program.
Analyzes customer needs and develops information solutions, designs systems and programming specifications, tests and implements programmatic solutions.
Prepares statements, drawings, and flow charts that explain business application requirements.
Communicates technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
Administers Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment (MOODLE) or other Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for the testing of NAMTS participants.
Accesses DoD database information websites to pull and manipulate data and convert spreadsheets, presentations and other documents to and from PDF files.
Qualifications: Required Education/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in IT related field, systems management, engineering, math, or business administration (eight years related experience may be substituted for degree)
Ten
years of progressive experience in Navy maintenance training programs
Must have experience managing:
Navy manpower and personnel process
Ship repair work flow process within Navy maintenance facilities
Five
years experience with Navy maintenance training systems
Must be fully competent in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Security Requirements: Active secret clearance required
Able to conduct up to 20% travel within the continental United States
