Medical Laboratory TechnicianSITE OF SERVICE:
Naval Health Clinic Hawaii, Pearl Harbor, HI Full Time POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Degree:
Certificate Education:
Graduate from a Medical Laboratory Technician Training Program Accredited by:
the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) Educational program acceptable to the American Medical Technologist (AMT).
Certification:
Maintain a certification as a MLT by a National Accrediting Agency such as American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or AMT.
Additional Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Experience:
Possess at least 12 months of full time experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician with last 24 months U.
S.
Citizenship:
Must be current U.
S.
Citizen English Language Requirement:
Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
Physical Capability:
Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.
HOURS:
Services shall be provided Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0600 and 1800 hours.
Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.
5 TO 9 hour period, inclusive of an uncompensated 30 to 60 minute lunch break.
